We’re grateful that 2018 alumni Senator Sydney Batch & Representative Terence Everitt headline our Holiday Social at The Rialto on Monday, December 13, at 5pm. They’ll share timely insights on new legislative districts and the status of legal challenges to the new maps. The social is followed by a a showing of the modern holiday classic, Elf.

Senator Batch & Representative Everitt are true advocates for the people of Wake County, both inside and outside the Legislature:

- For over a decade, Sydney has served as a family law attorney, child welfare advocate, and social worker. During the last legislative session, she sponsored or cosponsored 48 bills, ranging from legislation to expand affordable healthcare to a bill ensuring clean drinking water for all North Carolinians. 

- Like Sydney, Terence is the parent of young children and runs a law practice, where he works on behalf of other small businesses. He’s a key proponent for public education funding, better teacher pay, a cleaner environment, quality health care for all, and nonpartisan redistricting.
