We’re grateful to share that Congresswoman Deborah Ross headlines our November 10th fundraiser in Raleigh, with the candidate who intends to break the one-vote Supermajority in the NC Senate: James Gailliard.
Date: Monday, November 10
Time: 5:30 - 7:30pm
Location: Central Raleigh (address provided before event)
Congresswoman Ross has a well-earned reputation as a common sense leader, one of uncommon intellect who exemplifies civility in public service. In 2003, Deborah began a decade of service in the NC House, quickly rising to help lead the Democratic Caucus. In 2020, she was elected to Congress, serving the new 2nd District in Wake County. Her top priorities include: passing laws to help local residents, families, and businesses, lowering prescription drug prices, protecting Social Security for our seniors, continuing to push for racial justice under the law, and working to invest in infrastructure.
James Gailliard is a former state representative and a Now or Never NC alumnus who flipped a Nash County seat to help Break the Supermajority in 2018. After a narrow defeat and redistricting, he’s running to again Break the Supermajority; this time, the one-seat Supermajority in the NC Senate. This is the race that will determine the balance of power in our state. In addition to his prior legislative work and various board service, James is Senior Pastor of the World Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount, which serves families across 35 counties and reaches internationally.
